Birgitte Kirkelund makes Kost Studio more impactful through design

Kost Studio's new look: vibrant, professional and raw

June 5, 2024

This year marks our 10th anniversary. We though it was time for a brush up. Kost Studio is launched with new and fresh visual identity. The graphic designer Birgitte Kirkelund shares her thoughts on the process.

Birgitte Kirkelund is an experienced graphic designer, who after several years in advertising agencies decided to become a freelancer. We were lucky enough to get some of her time and her valuable skill of transforming ideas and dreams into powerful visual designs.

“The legacy to the old logo is obvious, but the new version is more strong and confident. It dares to stand out.” says Birgitte.

Peter Nøhr, partner at Kost Studio, feels that the visual identity expresses his pride of how this company has grown:

“You know the scene in Gladiator where Russel Crowe walks through a field, brushing his hand over the stalks of wheat. That’s how I feel now when I show off our new look and website.”

We are amazed by how Birgitte has captured our company's core values and future direction through shapes, colors, and pictures. It feels vibrant, professional and raw.

Along with the typeface and logo, Kost Studio is illustrated through zoomed-in photos of raw ingredients. She wanted to communicate our value of science and research.

“The pictures are raw and bold and communicate what essentially is the core of food: the ingredients.” says Paul Archambeau, senior associate.

Kost Studio uniqueness lies in seeing the importance of both knowledge and craft. On the one hand, we value science, academia and education. On the other hand, we value craftsmanship, history and culture. Food is a particular type of product. Success needs to consider the human aspects.

Thanks again, Birgitte for your work. Kost Studio lives on, more impactful than ever.
